The Global Research Informatics team supports the discovery of new medicines at Roche by creating and implementing state of the art processes, tools and systems in key areas of information management and information technology.

With a worldwide presence at five discovery research sites listed below, the Global Research Informatics group is led by staff in Palo Alto under the direction of MaryJo Zaborowski. The group delivers standardized research systems that facilitate collaboration, knowledge-sharing and comprehensive management of the research portfolio at the global level.

Each site has its own Information Management/Information Technology organization, but there is global oversight in six priority areas:

• Bioinformatics
• Discovery research
• Information sciences
• Infrastructure
• Nonclinical development/preclinical safety
• Scientific computing
