• Adopt-A-Highway
  Our site sponsors a stretch of nearby Interstate 280, helping to preserve its title of the "World's Most Beautiful Freeway" due to its scenic route through the San Francisco peninsula.
  
• Environmental Day
  In conjunction with Earth Day, employees take a half day off work to participate in clean-up activities at designated sites, with funds matched by the company for each volunteer and donated to the supported environmental organization. The site receives extensive community recognition for volunteerism, environmental awareness in the local business community, and funding to support local parklands through this event.
• Green Power
  Palo Alto is the largest purchaser of Green Power in Palo Alto, highlighting the site’s commitment to using renewable sources of energy such as wind and solar.
  
• Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)
  Our site’s solvent storage building is Palo Alto’s first Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified facility. The LEED Green Building Rating System is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings. LEED promotes a whole-building approach to sustainability by recognizing performance in five key areas of human and environmental health: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection, and indoor environmental quality.
